Paul W. Sorensen

Paul W. Sorensen is the founding Executive Director of the Greenwich Center for Hope & Renewal. As the Executive Director, Paul oversees programs and personnel, as well as strategic partnerships with national and community organizations, leaders, professionals and pastors. Paul also performs various services of the organization, including counseling, with a special focus on strengthening marriages, executives in transition and leading individuals out of addiction.


Enhancing his work at the Center, Paul serves as an Adjunct Professor in the Master of Divinity Program at Alliance Theological Seminary. Prior to moving to Southern Connecticut, he worked as a municipal bonds trader in Chicago and founded a non-profit Christian counseling network in Florida. Paul is a Licensed Professional Counselor in Connecticut, a Licensed Mental Health Counselor in Florida, and an ordained minister. He is also a trained Interventionist (Johnson Model) and Emotionally Focused Educated Therapist. Paul holds a B.A. in Business and Economics from Wheaton College (IL) and both a Master of Arts degree in Counseling and a Master of Divinity degree from Reformed Theological Seminary (FL). Paul is a member of the American Counseling Association.

George Faller

George Faller is a world leader in helping people reconnect and in building strong relationships. The experience George brings to the Center is vast, as he works as a marriage therapist to scores of Wall Street executives, serves as a marriage consultant and conference leader to the US Military, NYPD, and NYFD, and trains therapists from around the globe.


George is a Licensed Marriage & Family Therapist in New York, an AAMFT (American Association of Marriage & Family Therapy) Supervisor, and an Emotionally Focused Certified Therapist, Supervisor, and Trainer. Additionally, he is the founder and director of the New York Center for Emotionally Focused Therapy and teaches at the Ackerman Institute in Manhattan. He holds a B.A. in Political Science from Queens College and a M.S. in Marriage and Family Therapy from Iona College, where he graduated at the top of his class.

Angela DeCandia-Presuto

Angela DeCandia-Presuto is a leading professional in strengthening marriages and guiding families through bereavement, chronic illness and life transitions. Over the past 10 years, Angela has led groups for new mothers, adolescent girls and parents of children with developmental delays. Susan Gestal

Susan Gestal is a leading professional in children’s behavioral assessment and counseling services, as well as parental consultation and counseling. Her children’s behavioral diagnostic and assessment services offer invaluable professional support to families, particularly in situations involving academic, parenting, divorce or behavioral needs. In this work, Susan collaborates with

Stephen Gilbert

Stephen Gilbert is a leading professional in strengthening marriages and families, developing teens, guiding men, and leading individuals out of addiction. A gifted communicator, Steve has taught and conducted countless seminars for organizations and churches on topics such as personal transformation, parenting, anger management, and healthy marriages. He has also helped lead and facilitate a countywide support group for pastors.


Prior to working at the Greenwich Center for Hope & Renewal, Steve was Director of the Southern Connecticut Christian Counseling Center in Fairfield, CT, where he worked alongside local churches providing quality mental health care that is integrative to Christian faith and spirituality. Before entering the field of counseling, Steve spent 14 years on staff with the youth ministry, Young Life, where he was the Regional Director for Connecticut and Long Island.

He holds a B.S. from Ohio State University and both an M.S. in Marital and Family Therapy and a Master of Divinity from Fuller Theological Seminary in Pasadena, CA. Nancy Sadock

Nancy Sadock is a leading professional in strengthening marriages, equipping parents, and managing life transitions. Additionally, she has extensive experience working with substance abuse, mood disorders such as anxiety and depression, and adolescent challenges. With a relational orientation, Nancy works carefully with clients to develop goals that are SMART: Specific, Measurable, Achievable, Realistic and Time Sensitive. Mary Stacy

Mary Stacy is a leading professional in strengthening marriages and leading psychotherapy connection groups. Often working side-by-side with her husband, who is also a gifted counselor, Mary has led countless groups and workshops on topics related to marriage, divorce, remarriage, stepfamilies and anxiety. For over a decade, Mary co-facilitated DivorceCare, a faith-based videotape-and-support ministry for those recently separated or divorced. Most recently, she co-taught a series on Emotionally Focused Therapy to over twenty area counselors. Parker Stacy

Parker Stacy is a leading professional in strengthening marriages. As a Certified Emotionally Focused Therapist and Licensed Professional Counselor, Parker counsels individuals and couples. Uniquely to the field, Parker counsels couples together with his wife, Mary, as a husband-and-wife team.

Paige Stetson

Jill Woolworth

Chuck Davis

Chuck is an experienced pastor, teacher, and missionary who serves as the senior pastor of Stanwich Congregational Church.  Chuck graduated from Nyack College with a B.A. degree in Bible, and subsequently earned Masters of Divinity and Masters of Intercultural Studies degrees from Alliance Theological Seminary.  He is also a candidate for a Ph.D. degree in the Sociology of Religion at Fordham University, and expects to complete his dissertation by January 2011.


Chuck served as Senior Pastor of Alliance Church in Clark, New Jersey, for five years.  He led an active global missions program in the church, and took a group to West Africa to build a Bible School. From this experience he began to see himself as a potential cross-cultural missionary, and in 1990 he and his family moved to Mali, Africa, to work as a missionary under the auspices of the Christian & Missionary Alliance. Chuck and his wife Ingrid spent 18 months learning the French and Bambara languages, and then worked in a team setting to plant churches and train leaders.  During the last four years of his 10-year missionary service, Chuck served as a Field Director, supervising 40 missionaries and serving as a liaison with the National Church. 


After returning from Mali, Chuck worked as Professor of Intercultural Studies at Alliance Theological Seminary for seven years. In November 2006 he was affirmed by the Stanwich congregation to succeed Rev. Neely Towe as Senior Pastor upon her retirement at the end of January, 2007.
